Duke held us to 10 last year Wake held us to 13 this year.

Now these teams aren’t exactly on the top 100 HS recruit’s list of scholarship.

But there was a time that we got some of those.

Then later last year, we pitched 2 shut outs against 2 decent teams... 1 was ranked.

I don’t know... seems possible to hold teams to 10 with the right personnel, scheme, enough depth and adjustments.

You know what made Lane stadium the loudest... special teams and defense.

I think we scored maybe 25% of our points off of these 2 elements of the game and when you think about all those 3 and outs, the other team’s defense got really tired.

Now that really helps any offense.

So I kindly disagree ...,I think you build a successful team around defense and special teams cuz if you don’t do this and your QB has a bad day at the office ... you are toast.
