then I wonder if there is a possibility that the schools could decide to re-organize themselves into more regionalized conferences. Similar to what we currently see with most pro leagues. If that happens, then the schools might decide that they might decide that each conference should have the same number of members in it. Not only could it make things easier for scheduling purposes, but it could be necessary to make sure this new division has the minimum number of participating schools for a sport (assuming this new division is for all sports except basketball). Then again, I am assuming schools that currently don't sponsor sports like ice hockey, soccer, water polo, lacrosse, etc. have no desire to add those sports.
