even pay attention to rap but something brought it to my attention, don't laugh, but a postmodern jukebox cover of Eminem and I was really impressed w/the writing. On the side, 8 miles high was a pretty darn good movie.

And I like Alan Jackson, pretty much for the reason you give, always liked more traditional country and AJ was one of the guys who brought it back, didn't hurt that someone serendipitously gave me tickets to AJ and I really enjoyed it something along the lines that country sounds a lot better live than on the radio. (true for most music I guess)

Go figure, an appreciation for two things at the (supposed) opposite ends fo the spectrum.
