One of their faculty even publicly disparaged VT when we joined saying VT wasn't classy enough, only for UNC to run afoul with tons of issues shortly thereafter. Of all the sports programs in the country, UNC has the highest degree of pompousness and self-entitledness.

In their defense - from a sports marketing perspective - they have done a great job building their brand over the last 50 years, albeit while massively underachieving in Football. UNC has always had so much potential based on geography, student population, alumni, and educational prestige that it's baffling their football program doesn't flirt in the top 10 consistently, and I can only assume it is football recruits don't want to be overshadowed by the attention of their basketball program. With the right coach and investments, they would be a force.

All that said, if you're a Carolina Fan, you're going to bleed baby blue and feel that the Carolina Way is the only way. For those who aren't, it kind of makes you want to throw up in your mouth.
