If it does happen, you will see the most loaded fields ever ....


as teams will throw out their best wrestlers without concern for redshirting guys. There was going to be lots of redshirts due to a shortened regular season and the concern that the plug could get pulled early if Covid re-explodes in the winter. No concern now, if the freebee year happens.

Like you state, there is concern about getting all the pieces to line up down the road because wrestling may be the only sport where recruits are brought in during specific windows.
