It's hard to see how they can be held this year,


based on our collective current covid protocols. Yes, ESPN owns many of these minor bowls now, so advertising money and subscriptions may make them feasible. But if the Detroit bowl for instance can only have 10k attendance or so, how can they force the schools to sell an allotment? If that doesn't happen and the public isn't allowed to buy but only a few, the money to stage these games won't be there.

It's easy to see some (not 15-20 as I mentioned, maybe a handful) of these games not being staged this year, and then permanently going away. It's harder for me to see them all continuing.
