Unless ND is in our pod, we would not be playing them more often than now.

And other schools we play now annually we would only play once every 3 years. My complaint about pods/quads, is that it is that the pods are basically there just for scheduling and have no other purpose. Winning your pod really means nothing. Not really different than just having no division of any kind and just taking the two teams with the best records in the conference for the championship. I would say just skip the pod structure in that case, pick 2 or 3 annual rivals and change the schedules each year with everyone else, then take the top 2 teams at the end of the season, really no different than pods. Pods just add meaningless divisions.
