Anyone heard of a GPS app suddenly losing sound due to a USB interface?

I had dergoogle GPS go all but a tiny bit inaudible today. Phone sounds all are on and cranked to max. GPS in my iPhone 8 by every known sound setting looks “on” and normal. Bluetooth is off, WiFI is on, phone is not on left-switch mute, either. All the ways the app has been normal for ages.

Weigh in, soundfolk, and TIA!
