The new one - Shingrix - is supposed to be better than the old (Zoster). In


fact, the Zoster has been discontinued as of July though pharmacies may be using up existing inventory.

The numbers you're quoting seem low compared to CDC info - see the link. CDC says 1 in 3 will get shingles, and the new vaccine is 90% effective (I think my doctor said it was 70-80% effective). But I also know shingles is not something I want to experience, and the vaccine is a pretty easy way to reduce the chances of getting it.
