Aluminum framed bikes are the most punishing to ride


Steel is definitely more forgiving. Not important if you're riding a full suspension bike, but it's brutal for a road bike. Steel is a little better. Titanium is better still, and CF can be made the most comfortable or it can be more stiff than aluminum. Would guess the full race bikes tend to go to the "full stiff" side of the scale...
