The conference was consulted by medical experts, and clearly, some of those experts stated if fall football is played it's very possible at least a few student athletes across the entire conference will suffer long term health consequences, possibly even resulting in death from Covid-19 complications (eg: Michael Ojo).

Now, you seriously expect the commissioner who receives that advice to repeat it publicly? It opens the school up to far more liability if anyone dies from any university function (eg: a teacher, the custodial staff, an athlete in a winter or spring sport, etc). I can already imagine the first slide in the lawsuit from the family of whoever dies pointing to the press release "Kevin Warren even acknowledged it's likely someone could die, or have serious health complications".

The commissioner would have to be an IDIOT to communicate that. Instead, he smartly states it's an emotional time and the decision was made by a vote after receiving medical advice.
