We're an ACC school top to bottom


We identify much more with the ACC conference than the Big Ten. We are heavily focused on undergrad and we are a private university like Duke, Wake, Syracuse,BC, Miami who we share common traits with. The Big Ten is a bunch of Land Grants or just massive schools we have little in common minus geography. Northwestern is the only school in the Big Ten that kind of looks like us and our focus. The Big Ten and ND was always a horrible marriage idea. It was geography that made it seem like a natural fit. Plus we played Purdue and MSU a ton.

Side note :Let me say though I am 99% sure ND will return to independence after season. Unless the virus continues to wreck havoc this will be a one off deal. I know this will cause a lot of people to be upset with ND even more so..So I am going to enjoy this year if it happens and ignore the coming storm of hate ND will incur after they bow out.
