Look at it from a liability/PR perspective. A player contracting the virus


at home doesn't leave the university open to liability in any way. I don't think anyone is arguing that players can only get it from playing football. It's that schools and conferences open themselves up to lawsuits if they get it while participating in school sponsored activities.
