He's right and I would add


No statement applies to everyone but as a general rule I would say that players are safer under the guidelines of what Saban is describing. Without football they have alot of time on their hands and no doubt a need to fill it with something. And these are popular guys. The socializing will be heavy. There is no doubt that parties and beer pong and shared cups and dancing and hooking up are much more risky than what happens on a football field.
Again, can't apply that to every student but in this demographic it is very much the norm
