Good for you! No, really! I have no problem with you wearing your mask,

washing your hands, social distancing, etc. If it makes you feel better, please do! I just don’t believe all the hysteria surrounding this virus. We have basically shut down our whole society out of fear of an illness with an extremely high recovery rate. It’s time we move forward by opening schools, getting people back to work, etc. For those in high risk groups (the elderly, and those with serious underlying conditions) they need to use caution and self quarantine. But for the rest of us, we need to turn off the news and move on with our lives without fear. Before I’m accused of being uncaring, I need to tell you that I have several loved ones in the high risk categories who don’t put themselves in overly risky situations. I also wear a mask when I’m out and about, not because I’m afraid of contracting the virus, but because I know many are. But I think that there has been massive overreaction born of fear created by politicians and the media, and if we let them do it this time, they will do it again. At some point, the “cure” becomes worse than the disease. People have the right to earn a living, attend school, and attend church without interference from the government under the guise of safety and compassion, when it’s really about promoting a particular political agenda.

So, as I said, you do you. Follow your conscience. But don’t brand those of us who want to follow ours as a bunch of uncivilized cretans bent on killing people.
