We don't really recruit well enough for Oklahoma, Bama, and OSU to covet anyone in particular from our roster. But we are indeed big time enough for guys with a chip on their shoulder that dominate at the lower levels, but know their good enough to perform just as well at a P5 level school. We will have our portal losses but I have a feeling we'll usually end up as a net gain. Whom have we really lost in the portal that was critical? I can't even say that any ended up at a better spot. Hazelton left but that was a lateral at best IMO, and I'll take a hungry guy that just got here and is trying to prove himself like Changa Williams over a guy that somehow forgot he had to settle for Ball State but thinks he is NFL bound. Yes....that was a dig.

Regarding getting high profile portal players from elite schools, I think they feel we aren't big time enough, they seem to prefer trying to land at other elite schools that recruited them out of high school.
