I hope it is not the new normal


COVID-19 is distinct from, for example, flu pandemics in that it's entirely new. We're still just guessing how this thing will cycle in later months, what long term effects survivors may experience, and how this thing will mutate going forward.

Flu, even the nastiest versions of it, is a pretty well known beast. The next big flu pandemic won't have half the unknowns that COVID's got.
