By all accounts, this was CF's year to break out, and he bailed, so ...

Farley wasn't projected as top 1-2 rounds last year. He was the #3 CB. There was much anticipation about how he would put it altogether this year. This was CF's chance to move up. If he believes in himself, which I assume he does, this was THE year.

And he pulled out because of concerns about his dad. Now, that leaves a few possibilities:

- CF doesn't think his play will raise his draft stock any higher (current injury?)
- CF is worried about getting hurt in his senior year (so why don't all seniors bow out?)
- CF is worried he will get COVID himself and it could leave lasting physical affects, and he thinks by next spring we'll have solutions for COVID (possible, and not what he cited)
- CF is worried about passing COVID on to his dad, and his dad, at the peak of CF's college career, can't find a way to create some distance from CF so his son can do his thing on the field

Out of all of those, only one involves his dad, and that one stopped his kid's dream. Unless you consider going from #3 CB to not playing and hoping for the best a dream, compared to showing on the field what you can do.
