is very off-putting. What about my post do you disagree with exactly? Are you contesting that there are side effects? Do you disagree with my issue with saying the drug is "completely safe"? As I said, I have no issues with looking into the possibilities more. I have no issues with a doctor and patient agreeing to it being the best course of action on an individual basis. I have an issue with people acting as if it's a proven effective preventative measure that has no potential for side effects and that people should take it b/c why not. Or the idea that the only reason anyone could possibly be against taking it on a widespread basis is simply because the President touted it. FWIW I also didn't jump on the "don't use ibuprofen" bandwagon when there were anecdotes coming out about that making it worse early on. And I didn't because it was obvious that more research needed to be done.

I'd argue that "arrogance" in this case is acting as if no studies have found little to no impact and that the science points to the drug being completely safe and effective in treating or preventing COVID19. To me THAT is not opening your mind and horizons to alternates.
