I am fine with pursuing an opportunity for ones self...


But the announcement is worded and put out there in the same way as guys that actually did contribute significantly. Therefore the media...or at least one outlet is treating it the same. To me this is the same as if a guy that was an undrafted free agent and made the practice squad of an NFL team.

Then after one season of practice squad duty he announces he is retiring from football, and yet somehow people are actually paying attention to it and treat it the same is if a veteran player that actually did contribute is retiring. I can see my opinion is unpopular, but I have a hard time seeing it any other way. I do feel like you should be a big enough deal to make such an announcement. You need to earn it in my opinion. Just my thoughts.
