"The Amboy, Minn. native spent two years as an assistant coach for UMKC following one year as the program's Director of Softball Operations. As an assistant, Lewis managed the Kangaroo's pitching staff, infield development, defensive game planning and opponent scouting. During his time as director of operations he assisted with team travel, player personnel and organization throughout the program."

"On the international scale, Lewis has enjoyed a fast pitch playing career as a member of the USA Softball team. Most recently he was named to the 34-man selection pool for the Men's National Team after being a member of the 2012 Junior Men's National Team who placed fifth at the World Championships in Parana, Argentina. In 2016 Lewis also assisted the coaching staff of the Junior Men's National Team at the World Championships in Midland, Mich."
