That is not exactly true........

Don't mean to come across as contradictory, but there are many athletic endowments at many schools across the country. There are several hundred athletic endowed funds at VT alone that cover scholarships........a surprisingly high number actually. VT's athletic endowments contribute approximately $2.8M right now to our scholarship bill annually.
