We watched "Necessary Roughness" last night. One question for The Lounge.


The film is filled with fake universities that are the opponents of the Armadillos, though I guess there actually is a Texas State U in San Marcos, TX, but they aren't the Armadillos.

So with all those made up for Hollywood schools, why did they play the Kansas University Jayhawks and get their first success (the 3-3 tie)?

Did KU know that their football program sucked so bad that they took some money to be the first team TSU didn't lose to?
