When UNC hired Mack Brown, they gave him the money to hire recruiting staff away from Auburn. As I've been writing in TSL Pass articles, Mack was basically given a blank check to hire away guys from Auburn and FSU.

The way I see it, we just went 8-5 with resources that are not on par with our competition. So if we actually provide more resources, then who knows, maybe we could win 10 again.

At any rate, even if Fuente leaves or gets fired one day, unless we can show a potential new coach that we are willing to invest in infrastructure and staff, then it's not likely we will be able to hire a better replacement. To me it's not about who our head coach is...it's about providing the resources for whoever that head coach happens to be now and in the future.
