and I agree that some things and some times things are better discussed in private. The issue, in my opinion, is what might be going on and whether a trend is indicative of a problem or just a matter of the current stage the program is at. If it is a problem and not being handled properly it will manifest itself in bigger, more obvious problems down the road. If it more a function of the current position of the program it will work itself out.

The programs you cite and their turnover are a single snapshot in time and their situations are not really similar to a program undergoing a coaching change. As far as the individual transfers go any number of factors including personality, talent, team fit, style of play, etc. can factor on to a decision. Unless you were actually in the room, I was not, how can you be sure you have the complete perspective of both sides as to the reality of what was said?

You may be proven right. My contention was that on its face the argument you made was readily debateable. More importantly, my opinion is that it unfair to insinuate there is something wrong given the relative timeframe of the staff change and then trot out examples as programs in a different stage of development without even acknowledging those differences with further context. Finally, at present and in the future, additional context will become available both through on field results and off the field incidents. It is difficult enough to be a coach in charge of a makeover, without being subject to early fan second guessing that may not be based on full context or understanding of the plan.
