From what I have read she will be used as a point guard and shooting guard. Here she was 99 percent of the time going to be a shooting guard. I really think people are over exaggerating the whole way the situation was handled at the end, with the virus playing into communication. Yes a phone call would have been better but in today's word kids use texting more. That is just how the generation is. Coach Brooks basically pointed that out. Who knows if he ever tried to call her. I would think he could have asked for her to call or attempt to call her himself. He might have, I don't know. But you also have to consider that she could have been expecting him to call after the text and didn't and then it become too awkward at that point. We don't know the full story at all and probably never will. But I do think coaches should try to contact the player in a situation like that too if they don't want the player to do it by text. They are the one in charge of the program. Maybe there should be a rule that will allow coaches to withhold the transfer request until the player either has a face to face meeting with them or phone call. Needless to say it will be really awkward when we play Notre Dame next and she is there for both sides.
