Preventing athletes from being considered employees or unionizing or further monetizing their value. Pretending to protect the sanctity of the student athlete is garbage. It’s all about the conferences/schools maintaining their power/money. That’s it. They will throw out a few crumbs to the athletes and portray it as a huge concession while portraying themselves as progressive listeners that have the athletes’ best interests at heart. Complete BS.
