Well, there are some advantages on the high school level, at least here

High schools do practice 4-5 days a week and have games the days they don't practice. Travel usually does 3 days a week for the upper teams and one of those may be a weekend day which is replaced by a tournament.

High schools also play best 3 out of 5, where tournaments are usually 2 out of 3.

But, colleges can see you play more games in one weekend than they would going to a weeks worth of high school games. High schools are lucky if they have 2 or 3 national level players on their team and most don't even have 1. Most of the players aren't playing travel at all and won't be playing in college. In Volleyball, every player on the court is important. If you can't pass, you can't win the point.

This Covid thing sucks. It cut the travel season in 1/2. My daughter had tournaments cancelled in Charlotte, Louisville, York (PA), and 3 in Richmond, plus Nationals was cancelled. That's a lot of playing time and practices she'll never get back.
