Agree 100%. The hybrid model seems unmanageable and solves little
If the hybrid model is the choice in the Fall, it does little to stop COVID and puts many families jobs at risk. Seems like the worst choice of the three.
Most people will not be able to work a job that also follows the hybrid schedule so either like you, they take a ton of time off, quit their job or try to find child care (elementary and middle school kids) that is difficult to find and may be too expensive for many families or let their kids stay at home by themselves. The effect has much more impact than just COVID.
A 100% online prevents COVID, but still leaves parents with the choice of quitting their job, daycare or kids at home alone.
Going to school full time with precautions gets rid of all the employment issues, but risks the highest chance to spread COVID.
Given what we know now, of course new science may come out, I vote go back to school full time in the Fall and think we can manage COVID and say that with my wife being a teacher. [Post edited by RUHokie at 06/05/2020 03:05AM]
