.no. coaches are teachers too. that's what the good ones do. they don't


just coach basketball and act oblivious to major events happening in the world we're living in. coaches are role models and parental figures for the kids who play for them, who are young adults whose parents are entrusting to coaches and a program. thinking that all coaches should do is coach is a pretty simplistic view of what coaching is all about. actually, simplistic and naive.
