I think the problem is recruiting decent backs, not recognizing them. And I think they know it. They've mostly been signing guys hoping somebody comes up sevens.

King may be the best back they've recruited and he's likely a niche guy. That's actually a good thing in today's game, but only if you have at least 1 or 2 other guys to fill the other niches. Which is clearly what they're trying to do. It remains to be seen if niche guys like Lee and Herbert can actually fill those niches.
