Until today, in fact minutes ago, we’d never heard of beetles

attaching themselves to the roof of a dog’s mouth. This pic is not Bodie.

Evidently can make dogs ill or be fatal. We’ve been noticing these on our patio door - not the standard red ladybugs, these are dark brown with black spots.
