In a basement, if I were going to use the squares,


I would use the ones that go down with mastic. The sticky on the ones you suggest may give out quickly if you have any slab moisture.
Shout to any area that has basements prevalent. Few and far between down here; we’ve looked for a house with one that also works for us for years
