I see
Unfortunately your best bet is to take it to somewhere like Geek squad or a local computer repair shop (if they're open) and see if a small component can be replaced, and, barring that, getting the hard drive back and either retrieving the data yourself or having them do it.
I don't like to advertise for family, but maybe a daughter/son or granddaughter/grandson could assist? Or some neighborhood kid looking to make a quick buck if you advertise locally or through friends.
Computer hardware honestly looks more intimidating that it actually is, and at this point you can't break broke if you decide to dive in. YouTube is a great resource on removing/replacing parts and at least you'll be able to kind of identify what some of the important parts are in the computer if you decide to open it up.
