Does desktop have any other video outputs like VGA?

If light comes on, then power supply may be okay. Any part of the motherboard could be fried which is why I ask about using a different video output like VGA. If so, that could tell you if it's just the HDMI board or if the whole motherboard is shot. You can take the hard drive out and put it in a USB external enclosure to get the data into another computer. Just look on Amazon for "hard drive enclosure". You will need to know if hard drive data interface is SATA or old school IDE, most likely SATA if made in last 10 years. Sorry to hear it sounds like it also got your TV!
