... fall off a cliff shooting-wise like he did in the 2nd half of last year's season. It was like someone flipped a switch. Overnight he went from being a dead-eye outside shooter to not being able to hit the broad side of a barn. His 3-point % for the second half of the season was, I think, right around 20%. As we all know, he's not a great ball-handler and has trouble beating press defense. So his main value was as an outside shooter.
That's why I don't see losing him being a net loss. Like you, I think that we'll likely see a more even distribution of shots among our returning players this coming season, which is a good thing, IMHO.
