That's UNC. period. always has been. Remember folks there always have schools with money and resources. (Frankly because the type of graduates Business, law, Doctors, etc). These schools have been great in blending the message.

In the 21st century its more high tech engineering fields, but the graduate base of these fields are 'sorta nerdy' so when they graduate and become successful, the university is great in bringing them back to the 'university'. You do not see athletics intertwined into the branding. Its just over there.


At UNC/duke they mix it very good and still look sophisticated.

At VT, our academic/research side is doing amazing world class work, especially in ai/data analytics. While our the athletic side we here words like ( I don't do that twitter stuff, wow is email just amazing./...) , doesn't connect........

The only program I see that is attempting to blend is Communications school.

actually Ga Tech has similar challenges and thats why they are operating in the red... but those graduates from engineering give to the academic side....
