Back in the 70s. Had a timer. He’d set it up on a tripod for family pics. We’d pose and nothing would happen. He’d curse, start up to the camera and click! Or he’d take it off the tripod and look at it and click! Or he’d be setting it with his hand over the lens and click! Or he’d set it and start back to the family pose only to catch his foot on the tripod leg and it would tumble to the ground and click!
One roll of film later, we’d have 6 pictures of his fingers, 6 pictures of the floor, 5 pictures of his face at 6 inches and one horribly out of focus of us not quite ready for the pic.
We actually had an over under on decent pics per roll of film.
