My daughter had a school assignment to make a mask. Tech Ed, I beleive


You had to look up internet plans and then make it. She's made probably 7 to 10 at this point, getting better at it and improving on the design and quality a bit each time. 2 Fabric layers from old clothing sewn together at the top and the bottom. Sides are open (except where the elastic it to hook it around your ears) so that you can slip some sort of filter medium in between the 2 layers of fabric.

For the filer, we've sacrificed one of the filter bags from our centralized vacuum. I'm not sure if filter out virus sized particles, but it filters out dust to some pretty small micron level.
