Virginia Tech was the ACC Regular season champions for the second year in a row. What a job Pete D’Amour has done there. Lost in the conference tournament final.

A great year by Pete D’Amour again as he leads the Hokies to the regular season title and a #9 national seed. Virginia Tech has one of the most exciting offenses in the country – some really solid young players who have performed well right out of the gate of their career – Kelsey Bennett, Jayme Bailey, Kelsey Brown – there’s so many of them. D’Amour has really developed those players and that offense is clicking so well together. To get a national seed just a couple years into his tenure just underscores the job he has done there.

Then they pointed out that the last time VT made the college World Series, the Hokies had to beat Tennessee in Knoxville in the Regionals and then Michigan in Ann Arbor in the Super Regionals - this time they are both in Blacksburg - what a power packed regional.
