The answer is "yes".

There is really only one team that can honestly say they got all they could have out of their team..and that's the coach and team that wins it ALL. You are making my point for me. Buzz did things to win more often, more consistently, and to get better every year,,at a school, in a league where he started with basically nothing (players, winning culture, staff, fan support, etc.) and the track record and expectations that were/are generally "mediocre" at best. I am not disputing that he was no where near perfect..but he did not have a team with draft lottery picks and a bunch of Parade All Americans and in his last season he was a few seconds away from beating Duke with it's roster filled with draft picks and All Americans for a spot in the Elite 8. Do you think because he /they didn't win that game that Buzz didn't get the best out of his team? I'd say he more than accomplished that, crappy roster management and recruiting included. Guess we need to agree to disagree. I'm not even a big fan of Buzz because of his lack of loyalty to anyone but himself, But I also understand that one of the things that makes him a winner is that he doesn't look or ask for anyone's approval to do what the thinks it's going to take to win, whether anyone likes him or not. I don't see how anyone can deny that he accomplished more with less ,,in less time..than any coach VT has ever had in basketball, warts and all.
