Trachsel got a $100k raise to take the Ole Miss job


Per this tweet from Andy Greder

"Former #Gophers softball coach Jamie Trachsel will receive $245,000 per year in a 4-year contract at Ole Miss, per Rebels AD and via @parrishalford of the Northeastern Mississippi Daily Journal. That's up from Traschel's $140,000 salary at Minnesota last year."

And you are correct - the Minnesota AD offering her only a one year extension after she took Minnesota to the College World Series was close to an insult. And apparently she had also been told there would be no scholarship money for the 5 seniors that have indicated that they wanted to return.

Sounds like a no brainer to me. I wonder if Amber Fiser will consider transferring to Ole Miss for her extra year.
