Five FBS Conferences have asked the NCAA for relief to compete in Div 1


Among the requests was a waiver on requiring Division I schools to sponsor at least 16 varsity sports.

The request came from the Commissioners of American Athletic Conference, Mountain West Conference, Mid-American Conference, Sun Belt Conference and Conference USA
