Right. What you are saying is why intuitively I thought it would be okay


(but I figured there would be some people on here who know a lot more about it than me).

I have another issue with a bump out in the kitchen where the flashing (not sure if that is the term) has popped/moved away from the side of the house. I think I will try a temporary repair with waterproof tape until I can get someone out. Any thoughts on this?

Here is a picture taken from the bedroom window above it. See how it is separating.
