Washington Co. teachers have stayed active on Zoom.


My daughter is a 5th grader and they started a 3 week curriculum on Monday. It's basically busy work to fill in when they aren't working on other assignments that the teachers give out over Zoom and Google Classroom. She has one teacher for language arts and social studies, and another for math and science. Both have assigned larger projects with about a week to turn them in.
That said, we're in an interstate town with good cell and internet service. Cross a ridge and you may have nothing. There are several kids in her class who haven't checked in and they know do not have internet access.
I think the students and more-or-less the teachers have checked out. Outside of keeping up some skills so there isn't a huge "summer lag", they may as well just shut it down until September.
