Having a network is only part of it.

All of the networks you reference do exist in streaming, and some of them have been around for years like the Ivy League Network.

The issue is finding a partner to help with leverage to get distribution so that the conference makes money on the network is the key. The PAC12 Networks do exist as well as the Longhorn Network. They just don't have distribution.

ESPN learned its lesson with the LHN. One school doesn't provide enough content or reach a large enough geography to make it work. The PAC12 network has the 12 schools and large geography. What they don't have is a partner with leverage. They recently turned one down the could have helped them at the time.

Now those with 14 members and a Channel need to determine what they can do to get more revenue out of their respective channels going forward. I agree with Stech on the answer (add members that help do this).
