I'm in complete agreement.

In ACC play, Dara generally struggled to keep pace with the opposing team's PG. Especially if they were taller and quicker, which was usually the case. She has difficulty beating a press. When she plays PG, she does not dish out as many assists as you would imagine a successful PG would. I don't think that's her best position either. She's a natural SG. I'm sorry if she was unhappy not playing PG last season, but surely she knew that Cole had a skill set that she could not match. There was usually a team drop off, when Cole went to the bench. If you are a good leader, as Dara is, and a good "teammate", don't you want everybody in the best position to help your team win?
As far as next season goes, the PG position was open for the taking. Dara could have competed for the position, just as she had to do the first day she arrived on campus. Kenny seems open minded enough, that if Dara proved him wrong, he would have changed his mind about who starts at PG. He's done it before. I don't think she wanted to compete for the position. Hopefully, for her, somebody will give her the "guarantee" she needs. I will root for her, unless she's facing Hokies.

IMHO, Dara wasn't an ACC PG. She's more of a SG. -- Old Line Hokie 03/20/2020 2:28PM

Offensively, Dara is not as strong at point guard. -- GalaxHokie 03/20/2020 4:18PM
