Depends on what his plan is


If he wants to start as a freshman, he may not want to go to tech. Mekhi is right there at his weight which means he may have to sit for two years. If redshirting is in his plans, then things change.

Of course he could also bump up in two years and be a 184/197 pounder too. So that could also change things. Regardless, it’s be nice to have him if for nothing other than depth. I’m sure the coaches are fully aware that he decommitted.
