Relief pitching and coaching questions

Why would you put Freshman into that type of pressure situation. Of course our ace closer comes in and walks batters and can't get an out, what is wrong with him, seems to be repeating last year, must be mental. Coach is not setting up situations where VT can be successful, I hope this is not going to be a repeat of last year. Head coach needs to fix this problem quickly with his pitching coach.
