I guess Colorado and maybe Utah won't be a target for the Big XII

Logically it would seem WVU to the ACC seems to be a few steps closer to becoming a reality (if the Big XII raided the Pac-12). However, I am not sure much has changed for WVU. If the ACC is going to invite WVU to join as a full member, then the ACC would need either Notre Dame to join as a full member, which is very unlikely to happen, or find a school willing to join as a football-only member. There are plenty of candidates out there who would accept the ACC's offer, but how many of those candidates are truly appealing to the 14 members (not sure Notre Dame would get a vote as a non-football member)? If the ACC decides to invite WVU and another school as a full member, then can the ACC play a 20-game basketball schedule with 17 members? Assuming everyone plays each other at least one time (16 games), it would seem to me that the math may not work out when trying to assign the 4 remaining spots for each of the 17 members.

Now of course the ACC could try to go the route of 15 football members playing in 2 divisions, but mathematically there is no way a division of 7 and a division of 8 can play a round robin division schedule and everyone play the same number of conference games. The ACC could try to get a waiver from the NCAA to either deviate from the round robin requirement or split the 15 members up into 3 groups of 5, but it is unlikely the ACC would be granted that waiver. Would WVU be okay with receiving the same deal as Notre Dame? Would the 14 members be okay with the ACC giving WVU its own "Notre Dame deal?"
